Our new video consultation technology links our staff with the people in the community to provide therapy by video link.
“Using technology for consultations and therapy is something that people can take advantage of if they are worried about the spread of the Coronavirus. We have a dedicated, sound-proofed consultation room, fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology for virtual consultations”, says The Retreat’s Chief Officer, Dr Kim Bevan.
This approach is used by The Retreat’s Clinicians on a regular basis. For example, Dr Katja Osswald, one of The Retreat’s Senior Clinical Psychologists, uses online methods as part of her assessment and treatment for people living with Autism and ADHD.
“I think this technology will be a great help for people who are worried about coming to appointments. It gives them more flexibility and is totally secure and confidential.”
