During the last week in February staff from The Retreat and The Tuke Centre along with patients from our eating disorders service ran a bake sale and raffled off a fantastic minion cake in order to raise money for the eating disorder Beat.
Beat provides information and support through a Helpline which people can call, text or email; a UK wide network of self help and support groups; online support including information, message boards and online support groups and Helpfinder, an online directory of support services.
The week of activities culimated in the bi-annual bake-off, where teams across The Retreat donned their aprons to bake an array for fantastic cakes. Full pictures of all the cakes baked can be found on our facebook page. All the remaining cake, after the judging, was donated to the Arclight centre in York.
