At The Retreat we put the people who use our services at the centre of everything we do. We will help you to develop strong therapeutic relationships with professionals, as we believe it is these relationships that are the foundation of a persons recovery. We work hard to ensure there is a friendly atmosphere at the Retreat, underpinned by our values or respect and community. We believe that everyone is equal and people are generally known by their first names as we believe this makes them more approachable.
The environment at The Retreat is an area which we're very proud of as we understand the importance of a calming and peaceful place to recover. The grounds at The Retreat also provide you with the opportunity to take part in gardening, with the support of our gardening project. Along with our monthly animal visitors we also have a dedicated Pets Corner where you can help look after The Retreat pets and enjoy the courtyard garden.
Your physical health is another important factor in recovery. We have a fully fitted gym and physiotherapy department for people to use as they wish.
We place a large emphasis on maintaining and building new relationships we provide visiting rooms for friends and family to use with you. Our visiting policy is designed to give you as many opportunities as possible to enjoy visits from your friends or family. Our focus at The Retreat is to make sure that the views and opinions of people who use our services are sought and used to shape the way the services are developed.
