Inpatient Services - The Retreat

Information for the General Public

Having read about our services you may feel The Retreat is the right place to seek help for yourself, a member of your family or for a friend.

For inpatient care a written referral is required from a healthcare professional, such as a Consultant Psychiatrist, Care Coordinator or Social Worker.  Please contact the person involved in your care, or ask the person you are concerned about to contact their healthcare professional, to discuss the option of being referred to The Retreat.  We also require information on who is responsible for funding.

If you would like a guide on a particular service please complete the contact form and the information will be sent to you by return.

For outpatient therapy please contact The Tuke Centre.

Funding

The Retreat is a not-for-profit organisation we continually re-invest in our services.  Over 95% of our patients are funded by the NHS.  Patients who want to be funded by the NHS should discuss funding with their Consultant.  This funding is at the discretion of the relevant funding authority.

Patients who wish to self-fund their treatment will be required to pay a deposit prior to admission.  Payments will then be required at 10 or 14 day intervals.  Payments can be made by credit card, cheque or cash. Private insurance funding is accepted; please check with your insurer that adequate cover is available prior to admission.

All sources of funding must be agreed in writing prior to admission.

For further information on referrals, bed availability and funding please contact the Louise Clarke on 01904 412551 ext 2307.
