Why choose The Retreat?

A cost effective service - The Retreat is a specialist mental health provider, working with the NHS to provide care for people with complex and challenging needs. As a not-for-profit organisation we continually reinvest in our services, and offer value for money for purchasers.  Ninety per cent of our patients are funded by the NHS, with over 45 PCTs regularly referring people to us.

This high level of NHS patient placement is testimony to our excellent recovery rates and our reputation for high quality care with over 200 years of experience.  Read our Quality Account 2011/12 for further information.

Expert care - We offer 24-hour consultant cover by our own full-time psychiatrists.  Each unit has its own experienced multidisciplinary team specialising in a variety of therapies.

Excellent recovery rates - Annual reports on outcomes are produced by each service providing evidence on the quality of care and levels of recovery.
