Naomi Open Day Friday 13 June 2008
Naomi is a 14-bedded inpatient unit using CBT informed interventions to provide a therapeutic environment that promotes recovery from a range of problems. These include: eating disorders, mood disorders and anxiety disorders including obsessive compulsive disorder and post traumatic stress disorder.
On Friday 13 June 9.30 am - 4.30 pm we are holding an Open Day for healthcare professionals to vist the unit and hear a series of short talks on topics such as:
- Naomi ethos and philosophy
- CBT for eating disorders
- Use of mindfulness in eating disorders
- Family support
- Dietetics
- Naomi group programme
- Research and outcomes
- A patient's point of view
- Links with the Acorn programme
