Sue Parkinson is delivering training on the Volitional Questionnaire which is an observational assessment used by OTs to assess a person's volition (motivation) during occupations. It assesses the persons actions and reactions during occupations and also the physical and social environment the occupation takes place in and the cognitive requirements of the occupation. It is an effective outcome measure and ensures that meaningful occupations are used as interventions.
There will also be training in The Remotivation Process which is a strategic intervention process for people with impaired volition and consists of 3 stages:
