We have a dedicated learning and development team which provides a wide range of mandatory, professional and vocational learning opportunities for all employees. The training of students in all disciplines is a major element of our services.
We run an annual appraisal system that allows all employees to talk to their manager about their performance. Employees are encouraged to identify their own training needs linking them to the current and future needs of The Retreat.
All new members of staff, including bank staff, receive a structured induction programme that includes relevant mandatory training as well as essential information about working at The Retreat.
