Specialist Adult Services - The Acorn Programme

Clinical Psychologist

Hours: 18.75 (2-3 day Rota)

Salary range: £31,750 - £34,500 (FTE)

The above position will contribute to a multidisciplinary staff team working within an accredited Therapeutic Community.

There is a rich variety of therapeutic components to Acorn’s intensive residential psychological therapy programme, but these are principally Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Therapeutic Community principles. The client group are women with complex presentations and histories of self-defeating behaviours such as self-harm, severe dissociation or eating disorders.

The postholder will work alongside the existing Consultant Clinical Psychologist and psychotherapist colleagues in providing individual therapy and assessment within the group programme.

Applications are invited from recently qualified Clinical Psychologists. Knowledge of and inclination towards Therapeutic Communities/groupwork, DBT and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is desirable.
